The Story
Since its inception, Onyx Coffee Lab has focused on excellence, transparency and innovation in the coffee industry. In this spirit, they have launched a new roasting project in collaboration with Manhattan Coffee Roasters in the Netherlands. This partnership allows Onyx coffees to be offered in the EU with faster shipping times, fresher roasts and new opportunities for wholesale partners and direct consumers.

Southern Weather
Southern Weather was the first blend created by Onyx with a clear objective: to offer a sweet, balanced and accessible coffee in the world of specialty coffee. Its profile combines caramelized sugars, a round body and a bright citrus finish, leaving a clean and refreshing aftertaste. It adapts perfectly to any meal and works well with milk and vegetable alternatives.

Focus on the Mix
Unlike other brands, Onyx does not select coffees from specific countries for their blends. Instead, they first define an ideal flavor profile and then blind cup different coffees until they find the best fit. Southern Weather is updated every 2-3 months with fresh, seasonal coffees, ensuring quality and consistency year-round.

This blend has been a mainstay of Onyx since its inception, designed to be a comfort coffee that can be enjoyed regardless of experience or brewing method.

Southern Weather is meticulously roasted to achieve perfect balance. We seek to harmonize sweetness, texture and acidity to create a supremely pleasurable blend. With washed coffees from East Africa and Latin America, it is the refined house blend for quality coffee shops around the world.
