Description
Description
On the slopes of Pichincha, at 1,600 meters above sea level, Finca Maputo—run by Henry Gaibor and Verena Blasser—produces some of Ecuador's finest and most precise coffees. Named after the city where they met while working with Doctors Without Borders, the farm combines science, art, and sustainability in every lot.
This SL-28 has been processed using a honey method with 24-hour anaerobic fermentation, achieving a cup of refined sweetness and a silky texture. The process includes selective flotation, controlled fermentation, drying on African beds under polyethylene tunnels, and stabilization in GrainPro before export.
The result is a coffee with honeyed sweetness, juicy acidity, and fruity complexity: a perfect balance between technical precision and natural character. Ideal for filter methods, where each layer of flavor develops clearly.
