Description
Description
Aga comes from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, grown between 2000 and 2200 meters above sea level and processed at the washing station run by Habtamu Fekadu Aga, located on the border between Chelbesa and Worka.
Habtamu collaborates with 220 small producers, crafting organic washed coffees renowned for their clarity and elegance. Extended fermentation of up to 60 hours and careful drying on raised African beds allow for the development of balanced acidity and clean floral character.
Since 2023, Coffee Collective has been working on separating smaller microlots and making additional direct payments, ensuring record income for producers and reinforcing a transparent and sustainable trading model.
In the cup, Aga is light, fresh, and structured. It offers notes of bright bergamot, juicy peach, and refreshing grapefruit, accompanied by delicate floral notes and a lively yet balanced acidity.
A clean and expressive coffee, ideal for those seeking precision and transparency in a filter.

Coffee Collective
At Coffee Collective, we work from a simple yet essential philosophy: To create truly great coffee, we start with the people who grow the beans. We trade directly with coffee farmers and pay prices far above market level. This is not just an investment in quality but also in farmers' livelihoods, their future, and a more sustainable coffee industry.
Just as you pay a premium for a great wine, we believe that exceptional craftsmanship and outstanding quality deserve fair rewards. By paying more, we enable producers to invest in better production methods, improve their quality of life, and develop coffee to new heights, something you can taste in every cup.
