This natural Pink Bourbon from Alirio Rodriguez, grown at Finca El Recreo in La Estrella (Acevedo, Huila), is a clear example of the new face of Colombian specialty coffee. At 1,550 meters above sea level, the cherries ripen slowly, developing a marked fruity intensity and a balanced structure.

Alirio is a third-generation coffee producer and has been growing coffee for over 30 years. In 2018, he decided to make the definitive leap into specialty coffee, motivated by the low prices of commercial coffee and his desire to improve the quality and sustainability of his production. Today, he works alongside two of his sons, focusing on meticulous processes and clean yet expressive flavor profiles.

The natural process enhances the personality of Pink Bourbon, a variety now recognized as descended from Ethiopian landraces rather than classic Bourbon. In the cup, the coffee is exotic and juicy, with bright tropical fruits and fresh kiwi, supported by a pleasant fruity acidity and a comforting chocolate finish.
