Description
Description
El Placer Gesha Natural is a Colombian coffee produced by Sebastián Ramírez at El Placer Farms, a project located in the coffee-growing region of Quindío.
This Gesha variety lot stands out for its carefully controlled Natural processing and an aromatic profile that combines floral, stone fruit, citrus notes, and a sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar.
El Placer Farms and Sebastián Ramírez
El Placer Farms was born as a family project led by Sebastián Ramírez, initially working with coffees from his own farm and his father's.
Over time, the project incorporated other family farms with the goal of establishing direct relationships between producers and roasters, eliminating intermediaries and offering coffees with a distinct identity.
Sustainability holds an important place in their philosophy. The project uses innovative irrigation systems and processing methods aimed at reducing environmental impact.
In addition, Sebastián and his team participate in community initiatives such as the Animal Welfare Foundation, dedicated to the rescue and care of abandoned animals.
Natural Process
Processing begins with a cherry selection, of which approximately 95% are harvested ripe and 5% semi-ripe.
The whole cherries are carefully selected and dried with their pulp intact.
Drying takes place in several stages:
First phase: approximately 20 days at 40°C and 25% humidity, under controlled conditions.
Second phase: approximately 5 days of shade drying, under the cover of the trees.
Stabilization: 15 days of resting in GrainPro bags to balance the coffee's aromatic characteristics.
This process seeks to develop the sweetness and complexity of the lot through slow and carefully supervised drying.
Sensory Profile
In cup we find notes of jasmine, mirabelle plum, cherries, citrus, and brown sugar.
The profile combines the floral delicacy of jasmine with the fruity character of mirabelle plum and cherries. The citrus notes provide freshness, while brown sugar completes the experience with a deep sweetness.
The result is an expressive Gesha, with a combination of floral, fruit, and sweetness.
Roasted by KB Coffee Roasters with a light profile for filter, this coffee is presented in a super exclusive 250g selection.
About KB Coffee Roasters
About KB Coffee Roasters
KB Coffee Roasters is a Parisian roaster obsessed with one thing: flavor.
Their philosophy is simple yet radical — they choose coffees solely for how they taste, not based on trends, marketing, or history. Every batch undergoes blind cuppings, and they only select what truly excites them to drink every day.
Their approach is deliberately "selfish": they roast the coffee they love. This honesty defines their identity — they don't try to please everyone, but rather to create something truly special.
Behind every coffee is rigorous work with long-term producers and partners, carefully managing the entire process from origin to cup.
👉 Result: authentic, precise coffees made with a real obsession for quality.
