Description
Description
Women's Crown is a delicate and floral espresso that combines notes of elderflower, the clean sweetness of honey, and the bright fruit of loquat, accompanied by hints of dried apricots. Its silky texture and balanced acidity make it an elegant, lingering, and deeply aromatic cup.
This lot represents one of Gasharu Coffee's most significant projects: Rugori – Women's Crown, a program in which women lead the entire process, from harvesting to drying. Its name pays homage to the Urugori, the symbolic crown given to women in Rwanda as recognition and respect after their first childbirth.
More than 70% of Gasharu's team is made up of women, and this café guarantees fair compensation directed straight to them, driving improvements in education, nutrition and community stability.
The washing process is executed with precision: flotation selection, pulping, 12–14 hours of dry fermentation, an 8-hour second fermentation for Grade A, and controlled drying on raised beds for 16–20 days. The entire batch has been dried, sorted, and prepared exclusively by expert women.
An espresso that combines quality, tradition and social justice in every sip.
