Gititu AA is a classic and refined expression of Kenyan coffee.
Hailing from Kiambu, this lot brings together the work of smallholder farmers who deliver their cherries to the Gititu station, one of the most renowned in the region. Grown between 1300 and 1700 meters above sea level, it combines Kenya's most emblematic varietals to create a vibrant, sweet, and characterful cup.
The result is a coffee with great clarity, bright acidity, and a lingering sweetness that reflects the best of its origin.
Process
Processed using the traditional Kenyan washed method, focused on precision and cleanliness:
Selective harvesting of ripe cherries
Flotation sorting
Pulping and density classification
Fermentation under water (12–24h)
Washing, soaking, and final washing
Drying on raised beds (13–15 days)
This process highlights the bright acidity and complexity characteristic of Kenya.
