Description
Description
Hacienda Barbara Lot 13 is an extraordinary washed Geisha from the highlands of Chiriquí, Panama. A coffee that stands out for its delicacy, clarity, and elegant fruit expression, showcasing an especially refined facet of one of the world's most renowned varieties.
Produced at Hacienda Barbara, a farm belonging to the Rogers family, this lot reflects a production philosophy centered on coffee quality, respect for the natural environment, and the conservation of the ecosystems surrounding their plantations.
Production is directed by Hunter Tedman and Linda Michelle Arauz, who oversee the development of the farm's coffees and work to maintain a balanced relationship between agricultural activity and the environment.
One of the most notable aspects of Hacienda Barbara is its environmental commitment. Approximately half of the land that makes up their farms in Chiriquí is maintained as protected forest, favoring the conservation of biodiversity and the natural landscape.
Panama has become a global benchmark in the production of high-quality Geisha coffees. Its mountainous regions offer exceptional conditions for the cultivation of this variety, allowing for the development of complex aromatic profiles, a refined acidity, and an especially delicate sweetness.
Lot 13 presents a soft and fruity interpretation of the washed Geisha, where clarity and balance take greater precedence than intensity.
Unlike other Geishas characterized by extremely floral or tropical profiles, this lot stands out for a more subtle, elegant, and precise expression.
The washed processing method allows for the preservation of the variety's natural characteristics, highlighting its aromatic transparency and offering a clean cup with a delicate structure and a long finish.
In the cup, we find a juicy sweetness of white grape, accompanied by the citrus and herbal freshness of lemongrass. Notes of soursop add a soft tropical dimension that complements the whole without dominating the profile.
The result is a balanced, delicate, and expressive coffee, where each note appears with clarity and contributes to an especially refined sensory experience.
Ultra-light roasted by KillBean, Hacienda Barbara Lot 13 seeks to preserve the bean's original characteristics to the fullest, highlighting its aromatic complexity, elegant acidity, and natural sweetness.
An excellent choice for those who enjoy clean and sophisticated Geisha coffees, where precision and balance are more important than intensity.
