Hartmann Natural comes from the renowned Hartmann Family, pioneers of specialty coffee in Panama, in the Santa Clara region, at 1400 meters above sea level. The farm borders La Amistad National Park and is surrounded by almost 100 hectares of forest reserves, where the coffee grows under natural shade in a carefully preserved ecosystem.

Officially founded in 1940, Finca Hartmann is today a family business where each generation actively participates in cultivation, production, and quality control. Its philosophy combines respect for nature, reforestation with native species, and long-term sustainable production.

Natural Process
The cherries are harvested at their optimal point of ripeness and placed directly on raised African beds, avoiding any contact with water to preserve the mucilage and enhance the transfer of sugars to the bean.

The drying process begins outdoors for 12 to 17 days, until the grain reaches approximately 14% moisture. It is then transferred to mechanical dryers where the drying is completed slowly to 11–11.5% moisture, replicating natural conditions with low heat and high airflow. Occasionally, the process is paused overnight to allow the grain to rest and ensure uniformity.
