Description

Karimikui is one of those coffees that define Kenya's character: intensity, clarity, and vibrant fruit.

Sourced from Karimikui washing station in Kirinyaga, this lot stands out for its consistency and quality year after year. It was also one of the first Kenyan coffees roasted by the roaster, solidifying a relationship based on trust and excellence.

The environment, combined with meticulous attention to processing, yields clean, bright profiles with great aromatic intensity.

The result is a vibrant coffee full of character.

Process

Processed using the Kenyan washed method, this coffee follows a highly precise approach:

About Morgon Coffee Roasters

- We're really not that special.
We're Markus Vestergaard and Gabriella Sand, and we are roasting specialty coffee. Together we have over 25 years experience of working with coffee.
It might sound very serious. Like we're making special potions for secret clubs with very specific rules.
Luckily, that's not the case.
Our coffee is bright, seasonal and sustainably sourced.
- And we like to think it's for everyone.

We founded Morgon in Gothenburg, Sweden in the summer of 2018.
After working with coffee for many years: As baristas, roasters, trainers, consultants. Running coffee shops, helping start up roasteries and competing in coffee. We finally wanted to create our own favourite roastery.
That means that we select and roast coffees that we enjoy and want to drink ourselves. We do this by working long-term with some of the best producers in the world that we have known and sourced from for years.
That way we can make sure that we can purchase lots that all have the potential of being our latest favourite cup of coffee, ever.

>We work with special coffees.
Products of extensive care and knowledge, passed down from generations.
By roasting them carefully we bring out the unique flavours and highlight the heritage of each coffee.

In packaging our favourite coffees for you, we draw a lot of inspiration from travelling. We create unique and colourful artwork for each coffee, inspired by postcards, the stories from producers and our taste notes.

Our square blue bags are inspired by the shipping containers found in the old shipyard surrounding our roastery by the docks, similar to the ones that carries our coffee from far away to us in Gothenburg.
