Description

La Bendición is a washed coffee produced by José Luis Pacheco in the department of La Paz, in western Honduras. Grown at an altitude of 1,700 meters, this lot belongs to the Lempira variety, which was developed in Honduras and is closely linked to the country’s coffee tradition.

La Bendición and its origin

La Paz is a mountainous region where coffee is part of the agricultural activity of many families. Its altitude and climate conditions favor the gradual ripening of the cherries.

At the La Bendición farm, José Luis Pacheco cultivates this lot, seeking to preserve the characteristics inherent to its origin and variety.

Washed Process

The cherries are harvested ripe and sorted before being pulped, where the skin and most of the pulp are removed.

Subsequently, the coffee undergoes a fermentation stage to facilitate the removal of the remaining mucilage. Once completed, it is washed with clean water and dried progressively until it reaches the appropriate moisture level for storage.

Sensory Profile

La Bendición presents a profile with notes of chocolate, stone fruits, caramel, and floral, combining sweet, fruity, and floral characteristics.

Roasted by Kima Coffee in Malaga with an omni-light profile, it is available in 250g bags for filter and espresso preparations.
