Lenca Decaffeinated is a coffee from Márcala, Honduras, produced by Raos at 1400 meters above sea level. It represents the resurgence of specialty decaffeinated coffee: traceable, clean, and with a complete sensory profile.

This batch has been processed using the Swiss Water® method, a 100% solvent-free system that uses only water, temperature, and time to remove caffeine, preserving the coffee's aromatic compounds to the fullest. The result is a 99.9% caffeine-free coffee that maintains its character and complexity.

The process works using green coffee extract (GCE), where caffeine migrates from the beans to the extract through osmosis until equilibrium is reached. The caffeine is then removed using patented carbon filters, and the cycle is repeated until the desired level of decaffeination is achieved.
