Description

Ninga Washing Station Honey is a vibrant and refined expression of Burundian coffee.

Grown at altitudes between 1900 and 2100 masl, this lot combines the sweetness and texture of the honey process with a bright tropical acidity, resulting in a clean and very expressive cup.

The result is a juicy and balanced coffee with a fresh, fruity profile that works incredibly well for both filter and modern espresso.

Process

Processed using the honey method, this coffee retains part of the mucilage during drying:

Selective picking of ripe cherries
Partial pulping
Slow and controlled drying
Development of sweetness and silky texture

This process adds body and complexity while maintaining clarity.

About Stray Coffee Roasters

Matthias Feldmeier and Ilan Bachl founded Stray Coffee Roasters in 2021.

A unique coffee experience depends on more than just our expertise as roasters.

Most of the work is already done in the respective growing regions by the coffee producers. Unfortunately, these people are often overlooked and given little to no recognition. We want to change that! Our coffees always bear the name of the producers (or cooperatives).

And because we believe that informed consumers are essential for the sustainability of our industry, we communicate all costs along the supply chain.
