The “G” stands for General Purpose: a versatile filter for daily use. The paper has one smooth side and one textured side. OREA recommends placing the smooth side inward, in contact with the coffee, and the textured side toward the brewer.

Their moderate-to-slow flow increases contact time compared to other flat filters, so they typically allow you to work with slightly coarser grinds and explore new recipes.

They are designed to be used with the OREA Negotiator, which adapts the filter to the walls of the brewer to minimize bypass.
