Description

Sweet Valley is back. After being discontinued, this iconic coffee from Café Granja La Esperanza (CGLE) is back thanks to a collaborative effort to redesign its brewing process and fermentation process, recovering the juicy, sweet profile so beloved by so many baristas.

Originating from the Potosí Estate, located at 1,800 meters above sea level in the Cauca Valley, this batch uses the Colombia variety, a hybrid between Caturra and Timor Hybrid, developed by Cenicafé in the 1980s to improve rust resistance and cup quality.

The natural process was carefully controlled:

15 hours of controlled fermentation in cherry

72 hours in a dehumidifier until uniform and complete drying is achieved

The result is a bright and seductive cup, with notes of candied apple, ripe plum, and hibiscus flower, wrapped in juicy acidity and a velvety texture. In espresso, it unfolds a luscious sweetness; in filter, a floral elegance that highlights CGLE's mastery.

Café Granja La Esperanza is synonymous with innovation and excellence. Since its founding in 1930, its family legacy has shaped the course of Colombian coffee growing, pioneering experimental processes and introducing exotic varieties such as Geisha, Sidra, and Mandela.
