Tatu Estate is one of Kenya's most renowned farms and part of Kofinaf Company Limited, one of the country's largest private coffee producers.
Located in Kiambu, at 1570 meters above sea level, this farm cultivates the iconic SL28 and SL34 varieties, known for their extraordinary aromatic complexity and ability to express the Kenyan terroir.
The result is an intense and fruity cup, with great sweetness and unusual depth thanks to the natural process.
Process
Processed using the Natural method:
Selective hand-picking of ripe cherries
Sorting and flotation to remove defects
Controlled fermentation (~12h)
Sun drying for 4–5 weeks
Hullling and final grading
This process enhances the fruitiness, sweetness, and complexity of the coffee.
