Description

Tesfaye Bekele is a refined expression of Ethiopian honey-processed coffee.

Grown between 1800 and 2200 meters above sea level, this lot combines traditional varieties such as Welicho and Kurume with a honey process that provides greater texture and sweetness without losing clarity.

The result is an elegant and juicy coffee, with a floral and tea-like profile that maintains great balance in both filter and modern espresso preparations.

Process

Processed using the honey method, this coffee retains part of the mucilage during drying:

Selective picking of ripe cherries
Partial de-pulping
Slow drying to preserve natural sugars
Development of a silkier texture and aromatic complexity

This process adds sweetness and body while maintaining cleanliness.

About Stray Coffee Roasters

Matthias Feldmeier and Ilan Bachl founded Stray Coffee Roasters in 2021.

A unique coffee experience depends on more than just our expertise as roasters.

Most of the work is already done in the respective growing regions by the coffee producers. Unfortunately, these people are often overlooked and given little to no recognition. We want to change that! Our coffees always bear the name of the producers (or cooperatives).

And because we believe that informed consumers are essential for the sustainability of our industry, we communicate all costs along the supply chain.
