Description
Description
Genji Challa Washed is an Ethiopian coffee that has it all: purity, structure, and unmistakable elegance.
Produced by Mike Mamo at the Telila washing station, located at 2,000 meters above sea level in Kecho Anderacha, Gera (Jimma), this batch combines the meticulous work of small local coffee farmers with a process that takes the cleanliness of the Ethiopian profile to another level.
The Gibirinna 74110 and Serto 74112 varieties, selected by JARC in the 1970s for their hardiness and cup quality, are expressed here with a floral finesse and a unique fruity sweetness.
Processing includes pulping using an eco-pulper, soaking for 12 hours in clean water, and slow drying for 9 to 14 days on raised beds. Each batch is kept separate to ensure full traceability, and final storage in airtight bags guarantees freshness and consistency—something uncommon even in Ethiopia.
The result is a clean, bright, and seductive cup, perfect for those seeking the purest expression of Ethiopian coffee. Ideal for V60, Kalita, or batch brew.
